STATEMENT OF FAITH

What We Believe

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God, fully and completely. It is divinely inspired, infallible, and inerrant in all that it affirms. It is the final authority in every matter of faith, doctrine, morality, conduct, and practice. The Scriptures stand above experience, tradition, and opinion. They are eternal, unchanging, and true. Through them, God speaks, directs, corrects, and equips His people for every good work. God’s Word is sufficient. It cannot fail. It is the foundation for all belief and the standard for all living.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119:89, John 17:17, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35, Hebrews 4:12, Romans 15:4)

The One True God: The Trinity

We believe in one God — the LORD God of the Bible. There are no other gods besides Him. He alone is the all-wise Creator, Redeemer, and the self-existent “I AM.” God is triune — one God in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. They are not the same, but they are not separate. The Godhead is one in essence — co-eternal, co-equal, co-existent in power, nature, and glory. This is the Trinity.

(Deut. 6:4; Isa. 45:5; Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:38; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 13:14)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only Savior of the world. He is fully God and fully man — the Word made flesh. We affirm the deity of Christ. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles by the power of God. He willingly died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sin. He was buried and rose again on the third day with all power. His blood alone has the power to save — it redeems, cleanses, and makes us righteous. Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man. He ascended into heaven and will return again to judge the living and the dead. There is no other name by which we must be saved.

(John 1:1, 14; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 10:38; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 1 Peter 2:24; Luke 24:6–7; Romans 6:9–10; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:12–14; Revelation 1:5; 1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 1:9–11; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 22:12; Acts 4:12)

Salvation of Man

We believe all people have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Man sinned by choice, fell from innocence, and came under the curse of sin, physically and spiritually. Every person is born out of a right relationship with God. We are not born saved. We are born in need of a Savior. Salvation comes only through the precious blood of Jesus and faith in Him. No one can earn it. It is by God’s grace through faith in the finished work of Christ. Only Jesus saves.

(Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Genesis 3:17-19; Psalm 51:5; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Romans 10:9-10)

The Great Commission and Revival

We believe the Great Commission is the command of Christ and the duty of every believer — to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people. We are called to make disciples, baptize, and teach them to obey God’s Word. This mission isn’t optional — it’s the heart of Jesus. We long to see the world transformed by the power of the Gospel — not just in words, but in action, through the working of the Holy Spirit. Revival happens when people turn to Jesus, hearts are awakened, and the Kingdom of God advances in power.

(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 2:4-5; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)

Marriage, Sexuality, and Gender

We believe marriage is a covenant created by God — between one biological man and one biological woman. Anything outside of this design is out of biblical order. Sexual activity is reserved for marriage alone. Any sexual behavior outside the boundaries of biblical marriage is sin. God created two genders: male and female. Gender is not fluid, interchangeable, or self-defined. A person cannot become another gender. God’s design is perfect. His truth does not change.

(Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Hebrews 13:4)

Sanctity of Life

As followers of Jesus Christ and believers in the authority of God’s Word, we affirm the sanctity and value of all human life from the moment of conception. We believe that every human being is made in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, worth, and purpose.

(Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:13–16; Genesis 1:27; Genesis 9:6; Psalm 127:3; Matthew 18:10; Proverbs 31:8–9; Exodus 20:13)

Holy Living

We believe God has called every believer to live a holy life — separated from sin and fully devoted to Him. Sanctification is both instant and ongoing. It begins at salvation and continues as the Holy Spirit works in us daily. Holiness is not optional. Every believer is called to walk in purity, because without holiness, no one will see the Lord. We live holy by the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit — not by our strength, but by His.

(John 17:17; Romans 6:11; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Philippians 3:12-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; Hebrews 12:14)

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise from Jesus for every believer. It is a distinct and subsequent experience following salvation. The initial physical evidence of this baptism is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. The purpose of the Holy Spirit baptism is to empower the believer to be a bold and effective witness for Jesus Christ. It is power from on high to fulfill the Great Commission. This gift is still available today for all who believe.

(Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5, 8; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 14:2)

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active and available today. They did not cease with the early church. These gifts are given by the Spirit to advance the Gospel, confirm the Word, and build up the body of Christ. Signs, wonders, and miracles should follow the preaching of the Gospel. We expect them. We contend for them. The same Spirit who moved in the book of Acts is still moving now.

(Mark 16:17-18, 20; Acts 2:17; Acts 5:12-16; Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Corinthians 14:1, 26; Hebrews 2:4)

Divine Healing

We believe divine healing is part of the finished work of Christ — it was purchased through the atonement and settled on the cross. It is always God’s will to heal. Healing is the covenant right of every child of God. God heals by His power, through various methods revealed in His Word — including the laying on of hands, anointing with oil, speaking the Word, and the prayer of faith. God’s timing is now. Today is the day to receive. Jesus is still the Healer.

(Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15; Mark 16:17-18; Exodus 15:26; Psalm 103:2-3; 2 Corinthians 6:2)

Further Benefits of Redemption

We believe that through the finished work of Jesus, every believer has been redeemed from the curse of the law and the curse of sin. Redemption is more than forgiveness — it brings freedom, restoration, and blessing. God desires His people to be whole and to live abundant lives. Every believer has the right to walk in wholeness — spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. Jesus didn’t just save us for heaven — He redeemed us to live in victory here and now.

(Galatians 3:13-14; John 10:10; 3 John 2; Isaiah 53:4-5; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Psalm 103:2-5; Romans 8:2)

The Rapture of the Church and Second Coming of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is coming again — physically, visibly, and in power. The Rapture of the Church will take place before the Great Tribulation. This is the blessed hope of every believer — when the dead in Christ will rise, and those who are alive will be caught up to meet Him in the air. After the Tribulation, Christ will return with His Church to establish His Millennial Kingdom on the earth. His return is imminent. That’s why we work urgently and faithfully to spread the Gospel— because time is short, and eternity is real.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Titus 2:13; Revelation 3:10; Matthew 24:42-44; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 20:1-6)

Final Judgment and Eternity

We believe there will be a final judgment. The wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Anyone not found in the Book of Life — along with the devil, his angels, the beast, and the false prophet — will be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternal punishment. This is the second death. After this, God will create a new heaven and a new earth. Everyone there will be in right standing with God and will dwell with Him forever.

(Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:1-2, 8)

EVENTS

What we've done

In 2023, we started our bi-annual soul winning events at Mpact Youth. Through these events, we have seen thousands of souls saved through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Additionally, Freedom Generation Ministries has sponsored student-run evangelistic events in their public high schools!  Students purchase giveaways, preach the Gospel, and see their friends saved!

HEATWAVE CONFERENCE

Heatwave is a yearly conference for youth and young adults held at Faith Church in New Milford, CT. At these conferences, we put an emphasis on the power of the Holy Spirit to save, deliver and set free. We have seen many people come to know Jesus Christ, get baptized, and be touched by the power of God. Many have even been physically healed in their body; others have been freed from anxiety and depression. Not only do we see lives changed spiritually, but we also have some amazing activities throughout the conference. Activities such as scavenger hunts, an escape room, basketball, volleyball, snack shack, food trucks, and more! This event is free for all attendees!
